A new campus for HQ AFRC staff is required to make more efficient use of space for several Wing-level Air Logistic organizations on Robins AFB that are reorganizing and expanding their missions. The project scope includes four Administration Buildings and one Band building totaling 461,000 SF of space and related site improvements, including new utilities, access roads, walkways and parking for approximately 2,035 vehicles. The proposed 42.5 acre site (Lake Side) is currently occupied by approximately 100 military family housing units. All of the housing units, as well as majority of the roadways and utilities, are to be demolished to accommodate the new HQ AFRC campus. The building and site are required to comply with specific Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) measures. Administration buildings are three-story, so they are required to be design to resist progressive collapse. Zaxon provided cost estimating services from Program Phase to update the 1391utilizing MCACES. Total cost of HQ AFRC is $178 Million.
